Drakes Creek Park is a state park in Tennessee that offers visitors a wide variety of activities to do and enjoy.
Located at 120 E Main St. in Hendersonville, Drakes Creek Park boasts of many amenities that include playground areas, picnic shelters with tables, lighted and paved 2-mile walking path, concession stands, restroom facilities, baseball/softball practice areas, scoreboards, a lighted basketball court, and lighted football, baseball/softball and soccer fields.
Drakes Creek Park also features the North Volleyball area with lighted sand volleyball courts, a playground area, and picnic shelter with grills and tables within the volleyball courts and playground area.
Open from daylight until 11:00 p.m., Drakes Creek Park hosts a lot of activities every year.
Every Fall at the Drakes Creek Park Greenway, the Trick or Treat at Drakes Creek is held where businesses set up booths along the trail and give out candy to kids who visit the area.
This year, Trick or Treat at Drakes Creek is slated on October 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free.
Another event slated every Fall is the Pre-School Track Meet, which is held at the Football Field.
The Pre-School Track Meet is a one-day event that consists of a 25yd dash, mini hurdles and tennis ball throw for children ages 3 to 5.
An optional mini-mile run will also be available to those who are interested.
This year’s event is scheduled on October 22 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
